Here we are in 2016. We began this insane madness nearly one year ago... Accomplishments...? Many! Joe Greco and I started this fiasco with touring the city of Sudbury, Ontario (Canada) trying to get gigs on a chilly, -30 Celcius, Saturday evening in early January 2015. Where was our drummer, Dylan Nantais, that day you ask? He's an attractive young man, so he was probably sourrounded by women so we don't blame him for not being around. We live vicariously through his sexual magnetism.... ahem.
Sorry... back to the story... Joe and I visited every bar and venue we could find... We were turned down at the Horse in Chelmsford because we didn't play any Pearl Jam (lol) but continued with determination to go home with at least one upcoming gig under our belts. We handed out business cards, Joe even drank their beers (f#$ers!!!)... to no avail. I even hit black ice and nearly ditched us or worse on this crazy adventure..
Upon entering Ferrigan's Pub, we were turned down right away once again. Joe and I decided to have a beer anyway as this was the last on our long list. Darren, the owner, turned around and exclaimed, "F&#$ it!, you guys want a gig you got it. You have to be in charge of the door." That's all we wanted. Thanks Darren.
This would begin Crone of War's journey to being recognized locally. Now that we've gotten that far... We need to spread the word. If you're having a boring conversation and want to spice it up, start it off with, "Have you heard of Crone of War...No!? WTF!!!" This I've learnt is a great conversation topic and should be adopted into everyones social routine. You may be surprised to get responses like, "What kind of music? I'm a country bumpkin and that noise gives me headaches...." Or they may say, " Metal? ...and you say they are awesome? Where has Crone of War been all my life!" These are the optimal responses of a true metal head. The rest can suck my... Well, you know.
Since our inception January 31st of 2015, we surprised the masses by underdogging and winning Q92's 2015 Rock Band Rumble which financially got us on our feet. This also led to a radio interview on Q92 Rocks.
With the help of our good friend Jody King, we now have a soon to be release debut album called "Beneath Grey Skies". It contains 10 tracks of pure Crone of War splendor. We also released our first self produced music video for one of those tracks called Dogma. Please.... Please.... Please.... I cannot stress this enough... Share, Like, Drool, & Enjoy! Make Crone of War your lovemaking music. Tell your Mom about us. That kid you hate, he or she may like Crone of War and it could turn into a lasting friendship between you two. Crone of War is meaningful & awesome.... Thanks for reading... Till next time.
